Thompson Ugbo
Acting Head, IT and Systems

Thompson Omouyi Ugbo is the Acting Head, Information Technology & Systems Department at FCMB Pensions Limited, with over 20 years of experience in Information Technology and systems management.

He joined FCMB Pensions Limited (formerly Legacy Pension Managers Limited) in September 2011 as a System Administrator in the Information Technology & Systems Department. Prior to joining the Company, he worked with Bel-Avenair French Centre, Kasha International (NGO), and Trustfund Pensions PLC, where he gained extensive experience in IT infrastructure management and support services.

Since joining FCMB Pensions, Thompson has made significant contributions to the Company's technology landscape, particularly in the deployment and replication of Storage Area Networks (SAN), Disaster Recovery (DR) implementation, Virtual Private Network (VPN) configuration, and transfer window setup and management. His expertise has played a key role in strengthening the Company's technology infrastructure, business continuity capabilities, and operational efficiency.

He holds a Master's Degree in Information Technology from the National Open University of Nigeria, a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Science (Education) degree in Mathematics from the University of Benin.

Thompson is a member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria and holds professional certifications including CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). He has attended several professional and leadership development programmes, including the Leadership Training for Entrepreneurs programme at the Lagos Business School.
